You can put it everywhere, as long it is in your path or you provide the
path on the commandline. I use /usr/local/bin
and the following command to launch vdr from runvdr:


VDRCMD="$VDRPRG -v /video00 -w 60 -s /usr/local/bin/vdrshutdown $*\
                -P'mp3 -m /usr/local/bin/mount.sh -h freedb.freedb.de -p
8880'\
                -P'mplayer -m /usr/local/bin/mount.sh -M
/usr/local/bin/mplayer.sh'\


This (or similar) should work.
