I have a CI rev. 1.6 with an Aston cam 1.05 (well, I actually have two CIs and two cams).
Card is a nexus-s rev 2.1 (for what it matters)

I only get this:
make insmod:
Jan 15 01:20:52 star kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00
Jan 15 01:20:52 star kernel: DVB: registering new adapter (Technotrend/Hauppauge PCI rev2.1 or 2.2).
Jan 15 01:20:52 star kernel: DVB: registering frontend 0:0 (stv0299 based (e.g. Alps BSRU6 or LG TDQB-S00x))...
Jan 15 01:20:55 star kernel: DVB: AV7111(0) - firm f0240009, rtsl b0250018, vid 71010068, app c0012110
Jan 15 01:20:55 star kernel: av7110: Warning: you are using the experimental LL firmware!
Jan 15 01:20:55 star kernel: Please report problems and success stories to kls@cadsoft.de.
Jan 15 01:20:55 star kernel: Don't use this firmware for production, don't redistribute it.
Jan 15 01:20:55 star kernel: Get updates from the VDR homepage until this firmware is part of
Jan 15 01:20:55 star kernel: the public LinuxDVB CVS!

vdr -l3 (with debugging active):
Jan 15 01:21:54 star vdr[3085]: VDR version 1.1.21 started
Jan 15 01:21:54 star vdr[3085]: loading /video/setup.conf

Jan 15 01:21:58 star vdr[3085]: CAM: no CAM detected
Jan 15 01:21:58 star vdr[3085]: found 1 video device

.. and then nothing.
I tried with the card inserted in the slot believed to be #0 (the one closer to the pcb), with the other, at a certain point I even wondered wheter stuffing the cam in the wrong way would give some results :(

Mattia

PS:
The same cam in my humax 5400 works without any problem
