[vdr] DVB-support in the kernel?

Hi,

I read somewhere that the development versions (2.5.x) of the Linux kernel
have DVB support integrated, and it will thus be present in 2.6 when it is
released.

Anyone know what driver is there? Will it suffer the same fate as many
other drivers where the in-kernel version is horribly outdated and the
real up-to-date version is available as a patch somewhere? It would of
course be most excellent to have the "real" driver in the kernel. One less
dependecy to download.
