Ok, you are right.

That is a massive amount for long-term storage. I also record on average
the same amount per day. But in my case I delete most of the recordings
after we have seen them. Only selected recordings are kept.

That is possible by using Network-Attached-Storage boxes in 19" Racks.
But this would be really expensive.

For this kind of requirement its the only possibility.

The 320 GB Maxtor will be around 320 GB for 500 EUR. So there is some
way to go until this price point is reached.
