I have bought a Promise SX6000 and it allows only to use 6 disks. As
Raid 5 you would need two of them with each 5 disks (4+1) to reach 1 TB.
But the price would be similar to that what you posted.
Hmm. Wouldn't the 250GB HD do the trick as well? 4*250 + 1 and still one more connection left to go. Granted, you total price to pay would go up by about 40 EUR, but that's about it.The problem is that I have only one pci slot free. I have to wait for the 320 GB Maxtor to get the required capacity with one controller.
