[vdr] Re: VDR 1.1.x Lirc BUG

Hello Philippe,

What version of VDR are you using?
I found in the changelog of VDR, about issues with "gaps" feature:
2003-01-10: Version 1.1.21
- Fixed handling channels in the "Channels" menu in case there are ':@nnn' group

Which is not related to what you described, but well ;)

Also, are you using "vanilla VDR" (without any AIO/patches)? It seems that there was some problem with some versions of the AIO.

Also, can you:
- copy/paste what is listed in /var/log/messages at the time of the core dump
- run "gdb vdr <corefile>" in VDR directory, then type "bt" and copy/paste the results to the ML.

Thx,
Olivier.

Hi,
Sorry for my bad english.

Well I use VDR since September 2002 and it was working quite well
Last week I have installed LIRC and I've compiled VDR with the following
command :
make clean
make NO_KBD=1 REMOTE=LIRC FAT=1
make plugins

Everything was working fine except the remote control.

Let me explain it :

I use a channel.conf like this :
:@1 Nationnales
TF1:841500:M64:C:6875:420:430:0:xxxx:1604:0:0:0
FRANCE 2:282562:M64:C:6875:7521:7522:0:xxxx:7502:0:0:0
FRANCE 3:282562:M64:C:6875:7531:7532:0:xxxx:7503:0:0:0

I>TELE:162625:M64:C:6875:169:116:0:xxxx:8010:0:0:0
..

As you can see I use the @ feature
When I used the keyboard, I could type in 9 then 0 then 1 And VDR
switched to channel 901

Since I use lirc, everytime I start with 8 or 9 there is a segfault

I changed my channel.conf (I stripped out every line with an @) to have
something like this :

TF1:841500:M64:C:6875:420:430:0:xxxx:1604:0:0:0
FRANCE 2:282562:M64:C:6875:7521:7522:0:xxxx:7502:0:0:0
FRANCE 3:282562:M64:C:6875:7531:7532:0:xxxx:7503:0:0:0

MULTIVISION:841500:M64:C:6875:320:330:0:xxxx:1603:0:0:0
CLUB TELEACHAT:122500:M64:C:6875:920:930:0:xxxx:1209:0:0:0
FRANCE 5:266625:M64:C:6875:160:80:0:xxxx:8501:0:0:0
ARTE:258625:M64:C:6110:167:136,137:0:xxxx:9019:0:0:0
EURONEWS:266625:M64:C:6875:164:96,97:0:xxxx:8505:0:0:0
LCI:713875:M64:C:6875:166:104:0:xxxx:8156:0:0:0
I>TELE:162625:M64:C:6875:169:116:0:xxxx:8010:0:0:0

There are no more segfault except when I use a non existing channel.

I think that VDR handle very well the keyboard when an channel does not
exist but it seems that the error handling does'nt work with LIRC.

Thank you

PS: As I'm not good in linux / C I didn't find any clue to solve it. If
you could help me
