take power measurement directly on the motherboard, but I think that the
values returned by the system hardware monitor are reliable enough. The
+12V is really stable between 12~12.123V, never lower.
Maybe you have spikes or other instabilities that are to fast
to show up on your monitor? That seems to be one of the
problems in my case.

Using a strong power supply does not show any improvement on
the frontend.
Strong in the specs is good, but how does it behave in reality?
And what comes out on the PCI connector?

I'd check it out with a scope or at least a volt meter, don't
forget to make AC measurements too.
