The mono->stereo->mono switch takes place in less than a second (according to 
X08 log output). It seems that there are just a few frames in stereo in the 
middle of a mono recording.

I tested it with a Samsung M205 DVD Player as well as the new ALDI Medion DVD 
Player. Absolutely no problems so far.
