They have been available at ebay really cheap 1 or 2 months back. Also got one 
for that purpose. Only problem is the internal IR of my shuttle... If somone 
has an idea how I get it working, I'd be glad to hear.

You mean, to have it for both remote controlling AND for instance console 
plugin? I'd really like such a thing, too. Wouldn't this mean to (1) have the 
normal PC keyboard replaced with the IR one (possibly with some additional 
keycodes) and then (2) have the keyboard as remote controlling device - thus 
only (1) should probably be a TODO, because (2) already works?

Does the IrDA-Suite probably provide such a functionality?
