Normally there's also a gateway between your mobile phone provider and 
the internet, which could cause problems.
Have you tired to connect locally from your PC workstation? WML is 
supported by Opera and there's also a wml browser plugin for Mozilla. Or 
you could examine the response when you invoke the cgi scripts from the 
command line.

That would certainly help most. I thought of that too and will have a 
look into VDR's source. A svdrp command which (quickly) returns the 
schedule as displayed on the OSD could be very helpful. I'll provide a 
patch if I have success.
