Hello!

Something that really should make it into 1.4 is the submenu patch (http://www.akool.de/download/patches/vdr-submenu.patch.bz2). With this patch, the commands.conf and reccmds.conf can define submenus by preceeding an entry with a "-":

Fortune Cookies ... : echo "sub menu, no command"
-Long Dictum : /usr/games/fortune -l
-Short Apothegms : /usr/games/fortune -s
-Special Topics ... : echo "sub-sub menu, no command"
--Literature : /usr/games/fortune literature
--Riddles : /usr/games/fortune riddles
