[vdr] AC3 output with VDR 1.3.6 Nova-T DXR3 Kernel-2.6.7-rc2-mm1 Fedora2

Hi,
I am running VDR-1.3.6 on fedora2 with kernel 2.6.7-rc2-mm1.
I am using the cvs dvb-kernel drivers and cvs hollywood + drivers.

Everything works fine and I get PCM sound to my surround receiver via the
coaxial connection on the Hollywood + card (using DXR3 plugin).

The only problem is my receiver (Denon AVR-1602) doesn't seem to correctly
recognise AC3 streams and I end up with pro-logic decoding.

I also have a soundblaster audigy card in the PC and have it working under
alsa.

From what I have read I think I might have more luck having the stream
correctly recognised if I use the bitstreamout plugin to loop the sound
output via the soundcards spdif output instead of using the hollywood +
output.

Can anyone comment on whether this is correct (and if so what connections
I would need to make between the hollywood + and the audigy if any).

If not any other suggestions on how to get correct AC3 decoding on my
receiver.

Note: if I play back DVD's via the hollywood + using mplayer I get correct
AC3 decoding on the receiver.

Hope you can help.

Regards Anthony
