I have a Denen AVR-1603 optically connected to the SPDIF-output on J2
of my FF-DVBs-Card via a slot-bracket from ASUS. This works fine with
VDR 1.2.6 and AC3overDVB-patch.
Often the AC3-signal is only 2.0-channels (AC3 stereo). Then the
receiver-display reads "ProLogic" no matter if it's PCM or AC3.
"Dolby Digital" is only displayed when the movie is broadcasted
with a real 5.1-Track.
So maybe everything is fine and you just had no real DD5.1-broadcast.
