well, here is the new patch, which adds a few more
debug out lines,
as well as dropping the "pause" after StillPicture,
which is necessary for dvd-audio's dvd-video part,
where many stills arrive, no video stream, but 
audio should being played continously ;-)

a further deadlock:

playing a dvd, e.g. start trek the motion picture,
within the opening credits, the player has a deadlock.
ddd tells me, its within GetKey of xineRemote ..
???
