Exactly! AFAIK VDR does work with kernel 2.6 and the 2.6 based linux-dvb
driver. The NPTL stuff may still be a problem, but that can be worked around
easily by setting an environment variable.

So, the "fact" is: Distros ship kernel 2.6 -> no DVB driver!

Of course, "no DVB driver" means "no VDR", but that's not VDR's fault.
