The plugin itself does not generate the MPEG stream, it uses mplayer for
the on-the-fly conversion, so the quality depends on mplayer.

IMO the quality is good enough, but there are some issues with mplayer's
on-the-fly conversion - if they would be resolved, the quality would be
excellent.
