[linux-dvb] Trouble with ac3dec from alsa CVS.

Hi,

I am trying to compile the latest vdr-compatible ac3dec.
I checked out alsa-tools from the alsa CVS at sourceforge.

When I run autogen.sh, I get the following error messages:

alsa-tools/ac3dec> ./autogen.sh
I am going to run ./configure with no arguments - if you wish
to pass any to it, please specify them on the ./autogen.sh command line.
processing .
aclocal: configure.in: 18: macro `AM_PATH_ALSA' not found in library
automake: configure.in: installing `./install-sh'
automake: configure.in: installing `./mkinstalldirs'
automake: configure.in: installing `./missing'
automake: configure.in: installing `./config.guess'
creating cache ./config.cache
../configure: line 524: syntax error near unexpected token `AM_CONFIG_HEADER(config.h)'
../configure: line 524: `AM_CONFIG_HEADER(config.h)'

Now type 'make' to compile ac3dec.

I searched the web for "syntax error near unexpected token `AM_CONFIG_HEADER(config.h)'"
and got 408 matches. Many people seem to have the same problem and I tried
all the suggested solutions ("downgrade to autoconf 1.3", "make sure you have
Gtk+ 1.2.2 or greater, automake 1.3 or greater, autoconf 2.13 or greater,
libtool 1.3.3 or greater, gettext 0.10.35 or greater installed", etc.),
but none of them worked.

Does anyone here know how to fix this?

Is there a tarball out there for the S/PDIF-capable ac3dec?

Thanks,

Carsten.
