FWIW: According to my box, bought Jan 2002: HM1811, HM1211, CN878. 
Conexant seems to use several different names for its chips.

Mine as well. I.e. we can identify cx24108=HM1821=HM1811. If you remove
the cooler from the demod, you will probably find it marked cx24106 or 24110.
If you insert the bttv module and the eeprom module in your system, you
should find a file /proc/sys/dev/sensors/eeprom-i2c-?-55/data0-15.
Can you please cat this and mail the result to me? It should tell which chip it is.

The driver won't care, I hope.

Hmm, somebody who owns this product and can find out the pci subsys ids out
there? Seems not to have the passthru connector, but looks the same
otherwise. Probably the hardware part of what Conexant calls the D-Stream, 
but lacking detail information from them, who can tell?
