When I've saved dvb data using `dvbstream <vpid> <apid> -o -ps >file.mpg'
and run the output using mplayer, I've got a/v sync difference of 400ms
(sound ahead of that much). I've quessed (so far) that the problem is
w/ soundcard (and sound drivers) -- I have Soundblaster 64 and I don't know
how well it copes w/ 48000 bps sound.

A friend of mine has used MPlayer's mencoder to encode some of his
recordings to be replayed at later date and the resulting AVI is in
perfect sync (If he replays the non-encoded stream, he uses 250ms sync
correction). The resulting avi (I think) has 44100 bitrate for sound.

We both have WinTV Nova-t.
