Yes, I talked about this earlier today and now confirmed it, Star Wars VI
I saved to disk and the re-encoded to divx with mencoder has no lip sync
problems. No delay correction applied. The .avi still has 48kHz sound.

To be exact, I have to use a correction of -0.255 when playing the mpeg
streams with mplayer either "live" or from disk when the video output is
via dxr3 and audio output via motherboard integrated sound card.

If I use -vo dxr3:noprebuf (instead of just -vo dxr3) the delay is much
smaller, almost none. Somehow I have the gut feeling that not using
noprebuf is better in general, but it might just be me. Anyway, I've got
the no noprebuf delay tuned to perfection so it doesn't matter. ;)
