[linux-dvb] Re: CI already low priority ???

Hello,

my own experience:

Irdeto AllCAM 4.6, 4.7: works without problems :) Freecam patch also.

AlphaCrypt 1.0: Hardware is ok, works with ODsofts WinDVBLive.Linux VDR /
Convergence drivers crashes. CA menu is necessary because "anti children
PIN" cannot be circumvented.

Irdeto Allcam (with Betacrypt support) is no longer available, you must get
a used one from e.g. ebay...
Premiere announced a Betacrypt module, does it work with Linux DVB ?
AlphaCrypt (by Mascom) would be usable module and is currently available if
it would be supported by Convergence dvb driver / firmware. Mascom asks
Premiere for a certification of that module.

Convergence: please, please support Alphacrypt CI module...

It seems to be obvious that usage of a softcam is not a desireable solution.

regards
Christian
