So, any ideas as to why I am not getting any data? Am I right in thinking that 
the card is tuning properly? Is there anything I can do which might help to 
trace the problem?

Sorry to ask so many questions. I'm a newbie as far as dvb and linux drivers 
are concerned - so I don't know when things are (mis)behaving as they should.
