This is the same as I have proposed, terminating with 75 Ohm. An
additional filter is added to remove nois from the signal. How got this
works I don't know.

I have used the info provide here
http://documents.epanorama.net/documents/audio/spdif.html to build the
S/PDIF output and it works fine. It looks like that they have just
combined the info into one schematic for both a optical and a coax
output. The items you have to buy are just those on the schematic.
