The problem with such "plans", "todo lists" or "roadmaps" (whatever you may call it)
is that once you've set it up, people expect things to happen according to the plan.
To me VDR is a hobby project. I want to work on it as time permits and as I fell
like doing it. Being bound to an official "plan" would kinda spoil this. Of course
I do have a lot of ideas written on notes all over my desk, and also in my VDR email
folder (coming from private messages or here on the list). Whenever I've finished
one step of work I go though these and see what would best fit next.

I sure didn't mind Andreas making a patch for version 1.1.5 - everybody is
absolutely free to do that. I just didn't appreciate the way he introduced it...
