[vdr] nice features...

hi,

i've built a vdr box and it is running very well. the only real problem is
the noise of the fan's but thats another story..

now the features i would like to see in vdr..

1. there are differences in the volume of the different channels.
if i tune in "VIVA" the volume is a little bit low and if i switch to
"MTV" it's getting very loud.. the same for nearly all other channels.
thats why it would be a nice feature to be able to set a different volume
for every channel, that is saved as last field in every line of the
channels.conf file..
my TV-set has such a function and it is very nice to have the same volume
on every channel.

2. it would also be nice to see the "Signal strength" and the "Bit error
rate" of every channel in the OSD. it could be done as numerical value or
as a graphical rate-meter.. like this

		 0        128      255
Signal strength: |X|X|X|X|X|X|X|X| | |
Bit error rate:  |X|X|X|X| | | | | | |

any comments from other people on this list regarding these new features??
