On my system all these messages go into /var/log/messages, and I find it
very convenient to have _all_ messages in their temporal sequence in one
file. So if a problem occurs, the more information you have in _one_ place,
the better it is.

I'm not sure about using "local7". This wouldn't make VDR's messages unique,
but would rather mix them with all other's that also use "local7".
