Doesn't the wake-up-lan also kick the clockchip to turn on power ?

I wonder if APM or ACPI spec says anything about power-on status.
There is info about ac-power, battery-power, bat.capasity.
There could be statusword for 'source of last power-on'
- rtc-alarm
- wake-up ring
- wake-up lan

Of cource with home-made hardware all bets are off :)
