Hi *,
finally, it's done!
vdr-analogTV-0.2.0 is out!
With the wonderfull help of Rene Bredlau <murray@blubber.de>, who
rewrote the PES->TS remuxer of the Metzler Brothers, this version shows
a perfect picture, no glitchy images anymore!
What does this plugin do?
Internally, it's a realtime MPEG-1 encoder.
With the help of this plugin you could connect any analogue equipment
to your VDR:
- bttv compatible analogue tv-cards (i.e. Hauppauge WinTV ...) to
watch tv-channels which are only available analogue at your location
- video grabber cards or the s-video input of your tv-card to connect
your good old VHS-recorder and convert your old recordings into
*.vdr files
- your camcorder to watch your vacation videos on the tv-set
- a WebCam (maybe via USB) to watch yourself watching tv ;-)
- your good old turntable to record your vinyl discs with the vdr
- many more is possible, i think ...
Additionally, this plugin is able to fully integrate the analogue EPG
into your vdr. You have to install "Nextview EPG" for this feature.
ATTENTION:
This plugin currently requires a patch against vdr-1.1.25
This patch is in ALPHA-stage which means the "transfer-mode" of VDR does not
work very well :-(
Finally: Please carefully read the README for installation instructions!

Ciao,
Andreas
