[vdr] Re: DolbyDigital (bitstreamout): Sound later than Pic...

Hello Dr. Werner Fink, hello list,

DWF> In other words this delay is _always_ given on the very beginning?

Yes it is. As soon as i switch to Pro 7 the sound hangs behind. I
played with the various options of the plugin but did not manage to
eliminate the audio-gap totally. A pair of pc-speakers connected to
the line out of the soundcards still plays the (non Dolby Digital)
sound in sync with the video, so i could compare the result of the
different options. i think (not sure, maybe is just imagination) the
best option is "delay" set to 6, but its still not totally sync.

No, the delay is there from the beginning. Did not yet have the time
to watch Pro7 for longer than 1/2 hour and as far as that i didn't notice a growing
in the delay.

DWF> Your pc isn't to slow ;^)

fine :-)

tried every option except for the "memory map" option which caused my
old configuration to hang, everytime i switched it on!

I don't know about that. i have no idea how to check if the sblive
supports slave mode and how to activate it. if it would be possible i
should try to build a DVB to SBlive connector to check if that would
be the solution for my problem.

Thanks for your reply!
