Thanks for your response. It seams like I got everything setup properly.
I have a full featured DVB and a dxr3 in my system (I was planning to
take the DVB out later). I also had problems with sound wich I assumed
were related to the dxr3 card. Anyway, to resolve the sound problems I
took out the dxr3 and descovered that the analog plugin worked (it
did not work before with or without the dxr3-plugin). So I belive it is
some kind of a conflict between the dxr3 and the DVB. Anyway, I
discovered that my onboard soundcard must have broken during the last
days (hardware problem).If I activate it my system crashes hard. So I 
don't have sound at the moment and so I can't load the analog plugin.
I'll keep you updated once I got the soundproblem fixed if I discover
anything interesting.
