`AC3' or `Dolby Digital'  maybe with small block characters for the
5 Sound Channels and on for the LFE channel ... or the receivers
uses numbers like 5.1 or 2.0 or 3.0 (Stereo+Surround channel)

No ... DTS 24/96 or PCM 24/96 can not go through the S/P-DIF of the
DVB card (the HW does not support sampling frequencies above 48kHz
nor resolutions above 18bit).  Also all AC3 streams which do not
into the 32ms PCM transport frame can not be supported due to the
same reason.

And Audio DVD's have some more (5.1 PCM 24/96 or 2.0 PCM 24/192).
