Thanks a lot for answering :)

No VDR behaves like it should, I do see those coloured Buttons.

Actually I don't have any "real" Problem with VDR, I love it :)

It is only a wish to be able to have those Icons at a "higher" place
without making the Menus smaller. I presume that at more people having
16:9 TV's has got this small "problem". 

But maybe it is not possible at all !?
