[vdr] Re: Unkown Picture Type 6

Hello List

Since over 2 Years i have a System with 4 DVBīs CARDīs wich works
nerly perfect !

I often record more streams at the same Time so i need the 4 CARDīs

But (donīt ask my since wich time) i have broken Recordings.
First i was realy supressed because i thought that the Watchdog
should relaise a new Start of DRIVER and VDR wich should solve the Problem.

I also have this Error-Messages in the SYSLOG:

Nov 4 00:02:07 pefusvdr vdr[1356]: ERROR: unknown picture type '6'
Nov 4 00:02:12 pefusvdr vdr[1356]: ERROR: unknown picture type '6'
Nov 4 00:02:14 pefusvdr vdr[1356]: ERROR: unknown picture type '4'

(sometimes also '7')

My next idea was that something is wrong with the DVBīs CARDS and/or
the Dish or the Switch.

So i decided to do this:

Select a FTA-Channel (i tryed RTL)

And set DVB1 within the CA-Parameter of the Channellist. (This means that VDR make Transfermode
with Source DVB1 CARD to the Primary CARD

And i tryed this with DVB1, DVB2, DVB3, DVB4

And the Result i get was realy interesting:

DVB1 and DVB4 Works well.

on DVB2 and DVB3 i geht the same errors and Picture/Sound errors like on a Recording.

I donīt changed anything on the HARDWARE or at the SAT-Cables or the DISH.
Also a change of the SAT-Cable from DVB1 to DVB2 and a test with DVB2 as
CA-Parameter helps - same Problem !

So there are only 2 options:

- I have 2 Damaged DVB CARDīs
- There went something wrong within the Driver or VDR

The VDR is "plain Vanilla" at the moment with no Plugins or Patches and i use
the DRIVER from Klaus Homepage.

Last night i had the Idea to change the DVB-CARDīs but i had no time to do this
so i will try to do it today night - perhaps anyone of you have a idea what else
i can do !

Best Regards

Axel
