- From the Changlog of 0.1.2.2dev1:
[...]

To convert an audio stream "on-the-fly" to mp3 try
  -a-filter " lame --mp2input "

[...]

Basically this saves you from having one temporary intermediate file as
the conversion is done "as a filter" while storing the audio data. For
the small audio files (compared to the video stream) generated, this is
not so much advantageously. But it saves you "one pass" over a file of
~150MB for two ours. With low disk capacity or slow harddisks, this
might be helpful. The benefit of the video filters (like e.g.
requntisation on the fly) is much more helpful. I just used it to shrink
one of my recordings to a size <4.3GB for DVD recording. Having to store
the larger source video stream and requantisating it afterwards I had to
have 5GB more Harddisk space and twice the time!

Just for explaination!
