it enforces transfer mode (when an ac3 pid is present), in live tv the 
stream would no be available

use bitstreamout plugin and alsa sound-drivers _instead_ of AC3overDVB patch 
(they are not combinable AFAIK).

you have to set any value for the ac3 audio pid (dpid0) ,i dont know about 
recordings.
