[vdr] LinVDR and analog TV-card

I have a DVB-C card and a analog Pinnacle TV-card. Presently i am
about to install my first VDR. Am I able to run both cards under LinVDR
0.3 or do i need to install a linux-system and the required parts of
VDR?
Does Hubert Sandmann's Introduction
(http://home.t-online.de/home/hubertus.sandmann/)
work as well with debian 3.0?
