Hi,
regarding the stutter the author once posted the exact line to edit for
a large buffer in vdr, thus the plugin will fill up the fifo more, i
will search for it and post it here.

Thanks,
This cleanly fixed it!
One thing though, (are you experiencing the same?) after switching
channel, I need to hit pause for the fifo to fill up a bit to avoid
stutter.
I will do further testing tonight ..

JB_The referred subject was the xine plugin problem reported by Micael
JB_Beronius.
JB_The plugin do not send any data to xine even if it seems to work
JB_properly.
JB_The same problem happens with the xineliboutput plugin. This is
due to
JB_the fact that vdr supports only one primary DVB device (i.e. a device
JB_with an mpeg2 decoder). The plugin emulates an mpeg2 decoder board
but
JB_sends the mpeg2 flux to xine. If you have a full-featured dvb card
(with
JB_mpeg2 hardware decoding), the flux is sent to this card by default,
JB_instead of being sent to the plugin.
JB_
JB_The solution is to edit the setup.conf and set PrimaryDVB=2 (that
is 2
JB_if you have one dvb hardware card that takes the first slot).
JB_
JB_Seems to work now, even if I suffer some segmentation fault when
JB_switching channels too often.
