Hello,

The subtitles show up and go away somewhat too fast, it's hard to read the text. I tried changing the value of the setting 'delay' to 10, and it maybe helped..
But maybe it changed something else, that's also possible.

on which subtitles-mode you are on?
- synchronization yes
- synchronization no

On "no" mode delay -field affects. The "sync" is done via
computer clock. DVB subtitles are 'prebuffered' with PTS
values showing when to put them on screen and when to take
off. Delay is the delay how long to wait (offset) after receiving the subtitle before showing it on screen and
taking it off. So you can try to make manual sync with it.

On "yes" -mode delay won't affect. Sync is tried via
getSTC -method (check mailing lists for discussion about
this).

I use with "yes" option and also having this experience
of 'quick' flashing subtitles.
Ahh, hmm, thanks. I can't say I understood you too well,
but I'll experiment when I get home. You'd improve your UI
if you 'grayed out' the delay setting when the "sync=yes".
And if the UI also said what the delay is and what '10' means,
it'd start to be understandable..

How are subtitles recorded?

Subtitles are recorded like they are coming from tuner/demux.
Plugin sets additional DVB-filters to receive subtitles stream
and tells VDR to capture it when recording.

If you are thinking about DVD you need to convert them.
OK, they don't get written permanently on the video stream on disk,
so I can 'undisplay' them later..

Some things that would be nice are
- Ability to position subtitles lower on the screen
- An anti-aliased font, the current one looks annoyingly sharp-edged

But anyway, great to have it! Thanks.
