[vdr] Re: vdr-softdevice-0.0.8pre1 mga tv-out

Hello everyone. I'm new to the list and I don't really know if this
message will show correctly in the archive thread because I just
manually copied the subject line so sorry for that, but anyway to the
point.. 

I tried that new softdevice plugin and vdr 1.3.17 failed to start. In
respond to

./vdr -P"softdevice -vo dfb:mgatv"

I got a log like this:

My graphics card is Matrox G450 and I'm using just released DirectFB
version. I can get the picture to TV using mplayer and dfbmga video out
driver from the second CRTC connector. 

My /etc/directfbrc looks like this:

mode=720x576

primary-layer=2
matrox-crtc2
matrox-tv-standard=pal 
disable-module=joystick
disable-module=ps2mouse
disable-module=lirc

I also edited manually vdr's setup.conf file and changed the setting

softdevice.PixelFormat = 2

I'm not sure if I have to have some special settings in /etc/fb.modes
but I don't believe that's the issue here because mplayer works very
well. If I try this plugin with vdr version 1.2.6 I'll get an error
message:
