not at all

mvp-plugin
- epg very limeted (now/next)
- mp3 replay
- no divx, no dvd, no vcd/svcd (all possible if the plugin would convert
it on-the-fly in a mpeg stream that the MVP would replay - like the
mlayer plugin for the FF card)
- ready within 2 seconds after switching it on with the remote (coldboot
power on takes 15 sec) - if the vdr "server" is running
- no detection of the "client" from vdr "server" - even if MVP is
running, the vdr will power off if the timeout is reached
- no WOL from the client to start the server

hardware
- no WLAN
- cheap
- noiseless

good as a second (client) device for the bedroom IF you get it working -
you have to use a dhcp and a tftp server to transfer a small OS-file
(dongle.bin), after that the mvp-plugin connects to the MVP and all is
ready. the dongle.bin will only be loaded if you disconnect the
powersupply of the device
