So the conclusion is that your ISP is dropping packets, isn't it? You wrote
that you see packet loss when the data rate exceeds half the data rate of
the full TS - is it possible that your ISP has a bandwidth limit of 1/2 TS
in place and drops packets if that bandwidth is exceeded?
The conclusion can not be that it drops packets, only that some packets
are missing in TS (when searching for sequence number). It is possible that
ISP routes those packets through other path(s) than TS i'm listening to,
for purpose of load balancing over multiple available paths (As far as I could observe that effect).
This is not my provider... I've only chosen it for test reference for
dvb_net because it has large % of missing packets.
