[linux-dvb] Re: KaxTV : feedback needed

Hi, me again.

Done some further testing:

Furtermore I probably was to dumb to use filters. Must they be

After scanning it didn't seem to work.

Don't understand why :(
could you retry with different combinations ? ( you may want to backup your ~/kaxtv/channels.kax first )
Ok, I was too dumb to use the filters... It helps to tick at least tv or radio and then one of the other buttons to make it work...so OK, filters work :-)

Some more suggestions:

- upen deletion, the channels shouldn't disappear, they should rather go back to the right list

Timeshifting works nicely (in contrast to xine's one) except the loop
problem you hinted at. BUT I tried to switch a channel while watching
time shifted channel and then it hang. Without using timeshifting this
didn't happen.

Does it happen every time ? it works here. What if you press the stop button before switching ?
Timeshifting really seems to be unstable. First time I used it, pressing play again gave me some strange slow motion corrupted video and then kaxtv crashed after switching desktop workspace. Next start it worked ok for a few switches (even from timeshifted state). Then after switching from timeshifted state it hung on "reading stream info". But pressing pause and then selecting a channel made it working again.

EPG works, as well. More EPG highly apreciated. :-)

right click on a row to get a popup :)
Ok, nice. But I get some squares in the text, like in some channel names I reported earlier.

a suggestion: Add a window eg right to the epg list, where the info of the pop-up appears once you click on a epg element.

Hope it helps,

Prakash
