Just to put things into perspective: Markus started off with the VES1820.C
driver and made changes to it that I proposed based on my knowledge of the
VES1820 and the TDA10021. When that didn't work, he found your source with
Google and started mixing your code in, which still didn't work. He then
verified the settings against the datasheet and rewrote parts of the code
until it worked.

So your code was helpful, but it was only one of several contributions to
the end result. There is no need for you to feel "ripped off", really,
because you weren't (at least not by Markus, maybe by that company that
didn't pay you, but you can't blame that on Markus).
