[vdr] Re: generating index.vdr's for non-vdr files
You could use mplayer for that purpose. It's capable of doing rewinds /
fast forwards, etc with all kind of movie formats.
mplayer [your favourite options] -idx yourmovie.mpg
the -idx should only be neccessary with broken AVI files but does not
harm on any other files except for slowing startup a bit...
