I guess this is intentional !
VDR thinks that you want to correct your first cutting and so it deletes the 
first "try" !

I do this the following way: I creat two symlinks for the recording and cut 
each one seperately ! So i get %symlink1 and %symlink2 ! And then i can 
delete the origibal recording and both symlinks ! Voila - 2 cutted files !
