Just an addendum in case it's not come to light yet...

Your output from 'dvbtune -m' should always contain BlockErrors=0, and you'll 
need VError to be AT MOST 10000 if you want any hope of extracting info from 
'dvbtune -i', or getting any sort of reliable TV picture..

If you're working with QAM64 or QAM128, then this value may well be much 
lower.
