although I must have tried over twenty different versions up to this
point! When you say NEWSTRUCT don't you mean HEAD? Holger Waechtler
also suggested using the Metxler Bros version which is essentially the
same as HEAD with extra merged patches that have not yet been applied to
/DVB. Confusing or wot?
Indeed. AFAIK all drivers after a specific date (Nov 2002?) are newstruct by default, and if you get working qam 16 channels (BBC etc) then it shouldn't be the drivers. Your channel.conf didn't make it through the list as an attachment, so if you would like me to have a look, please mail me off-list.

I'm up and running and 'quite' stable with vdr v1.1.20 and any of the
recent HEAD versions but I can't compile a working version of dvbtune.
The only version that I can actually get to compile is in the CVS. But
when I run it is doesn't work (see previous post)
Makes sense. Non-CVS dvbtune (0.3) / dvbstream (0.42) don't work with newstruct drivers.

Try 0.9.4 drivers with vdr 1.1.13 (channel.conf has to be slighly different - between 1.1.13 and 1.1.20 -- 1.1.20 wants an extra two :0:0 at the end. See the example files).
