I've talked to Klaus, too, about this issue, but I'd like to make another 
suggestion:

Since streamdev already incorporates some SVDRP commands, I could just copy 
the rest into the plugin, then you would have a full-featured SVDRP server 
handling multiple connections just fine.

Just a thought, so Klaus doesn't have to set too much priority to this issue 
(since there is/would be a working solution already). What do you folks, esp. 
Klaus think about this?

Also, Klaus could use the streamdev server code as a base for SVDRP, if he 
wants. So he can decide whether to adapt something from there, to do it on 
his own or to leave things as they are.
