This is great news for me!  I will try this out with my own scripts.

One note - I originally read the man page and did not realize that this
would happen.  I even tried to read the source (but quickly got lost in
eit.c and gave up.)

I guess I wanted to know when the epg would get overwritten - just for
overlapping events, or does it work on ids?  If ids - I would have to
make sure my ids were the same as those broadcast.  I guess I will find
out when I try!
