[vdr] Problem with xmltv2vdr SVDRP connections

I've been having this problem for ages but let it go for various 
reasons. Whenever I try to use this script to send the data to vdr on 
localhost I get the same error,

Jan 10 12:44:01 htpc vdr[16412]: connect from 127.0.0.1, port 32848 - 
accepted
Jan 10 12:44:11 htpc vdr[16412]: lost connection to SVDRP client
Jan 10 12:44:11 htpc vdr[16412]: ERROR (svdrp.c,354): Broken pipe
Jan 10 12:44:11 htpc vdr[16412]: closing SVDRP connection

I've never been able to upload all the data and it doesn't always stop 
at the same point. It seems to vary. I have my SVDRP timeout set to 
3000 so that shouldn't be it. Anyone have any ideas? Looking at line 
354 in svdrp.c didn't really enlighten me any.
